Tucker Brown is my 9 year old Sheltie. Rachel and I have had him since he literally fit in to our palm. Tucker is the most loyal, loving and intelligent dog a person can ask for. He’s starting to show his age more lately, and it really saddens me to think about not having him around. I really hope “Mr. Brown” is with us for many years to come.
I’m going to start using my site as a blog more than I have been. I’m resolving to post at least a photo each day. This is something using one of my newest free textures. This and many of my other prints are available on Fine Art America.
It’s been quite some time since I released some freebie textures. I have a new paid set coming soon, but I wanted all of you to have something new to use until that set is ready. So, here’s a set of 5 new freebies for you to use. They’re all based on the same basic texture, but have dramatic lighting and color differences. You can use these, and all of my textures, in your commercial work without limitation. These free textures are the same super high resolution (300 DPI 5400×3600 px) as my paid offerings. I hope you enjoy this set! Let me know what you think on my Facebook page.
I took the feedback I received from the Artisan Collection textures and applied it to something new and completely different. Introducing: The Jubilation Collection. This set of 100 photographic textures is the result of many years of photography and many hours of hand blending in the digital darkroom.
This texture set focuses on simpler textures and lighter dynamic colors, including a large number of pastels. They can be described as glazes or overlays. Using them will be easier for the beginner with textures. Many of them are based on a single tone and the texture isn’t as heavy as it was in my previous collection. They work well when blended together and will suit many types of photography and digital art, but they’re also useful as backdrops and many other multimedia uses.
The textures are super high resolution (5400px by 3600px). The are standard JPEG files and can be used with any photo editing application including Photoshop, Elements and more. You can download all 100 of these textures for $30. Large previews are after the jump (Click the thumbnails for a larger view).
Spring is here in Houston and I want to share a little of the season with you. Below you can download a set of four free spring themed Adobe Lightroom presets that I created. They’ll work well as a good starting place for use with my textures. If you haven’t already, please “like” my Facebook page.

The response I had to my free texture sets was amazing and the feedback made me want to make sure I set the bar very high for any commercial releases. I really believe I’ve done that with my new release, The Artisan Collection. This collection of 100 fine art, grunge, and general use photographic textures is the result of years of artistic photography and many hours of hand blending, coloring, etc. Each texture is super high resolution at 5400px by 3600px (18×12″ at 300dpi). The textures are standard JPG files that can be used in any photo editor like Photoshop, Elements and many others. The textures are intended for photographic and visual art work, but have other multimedia uses as well.
You can purchase all 100 textures here for $30. Small previews are available after the jump. The download is very large. If you’d like a DVD mailed to you instead, let me know. For other questions and support, please contact me here or on my Facebook page.
I was out in Las Vegas this week for a conference and I did what any texture hound would do, take pictures of all the ornate finishes in the casinos and resorts. This gave me a TON of source material to create photographic textures. You can download a couple of them here, for free. If you haven’t already, please “like” my Facebook fan page.
I was out in Las Vegas earlier this week for the Pink12 ITSM conference. The conference was fantastic. I hope my company can implement some of the things we learned there. To me, Las Vegas, as a whole, has this sad overtone and it’s not on my list of top destinations. That said, it does have it’s share of opulent beauty. Here’re a few shots from this week.
